I believe me and my siblings (or Mei at least) have come to this conclusion that parents in general angst alot too and don't appreciate their kids. At least I know mine are like that. Don't get me wrong, they're awesome people, blowing all their retirement money so they can put us through school and all. By doing that, they have to sacrifice quite a few luxuries and also risk being totally broke in their golden years. I mean, hell, how can anyone NOT appreciate that?? |
But no sir, saying that we do, and us worrying that we won't do well isn't good enough for them. Oh no sir, they ALWAYS go on and on and on about how we will "throw them aside when old" and "appreciate all the money we're spending cos we're blah blah". Goddamn WE DO FUCKING APPRECIATE IT STOP ACTING LIKE WE DON'T. Seriously. I've always been a relatively good kid. I never stayed out late without telling them. I don't talk back incessantly and I certaintly do appreciate their efforts. Mum, Dad, just learn to appreciate ours okay? KTHXBYE.
Hmm...maybe you can write a Declaration of I-Won't-Chuck-You-Away for them to ease their worries.
Well, one thing I learnt from experience is that you
have to prove to them that you're responsible and stuff
parents can't just invest all the trust onto their child
without having the child prove that they are worthy of
They wouldn't be good parents if they just assume you're
responsible and are mature without first being asured
I CANNOT AGREE MORE.
I BET it was mum who was bitchin'.
